Soccer - Varsity Girls'
2023 - 2024主教练: 凯利 WoslegerFrom the late 1980s on, Westminster’s Varsity Girls’ Soccer has been a force to be reckoned with in New England prep school soccer and has regularly been invited to participate in the postseason NEPSAC Class A Tournament.The Martlets are consistently ranked among the top 20 teams in New England. The varsity team competes annually for the Founders 联盟 title, playing a 15-game schedule against Founders 联盟 opponents and other local independent prep schools. Westminster players have gone on to participate in many strong college soccer programs at both the Division I and the Division III levels.
教练 凯利 Wosleger has served as head coach of Varsity Girls’ Soccer since 2017. 以前, coach Wosleger was an assistant coach at 普林斯顿大学 University for two years where she helped the program to an Ivy 联盟 Championship and to the second round of the NCAA tournament in her first year. The program had an overall record of 24-8-4 in her two years there. Before working at 普林斯顿大学, coach Wosleger was an assistant coach for three years at her alma mater, Fairfield University, where the team held an overall record of 37-17-7. As a player at Fairfield, she was the starting goalkeeper for four years and team captain for two years. She holds several school records but is most proud of her bachelor’s degree in finance and MBA degree from the university.
Wosleger holds an USSF D License and NSCAA National Diploma. She currently coaches for the Connecticut Football Club where she played growing up. 在365平台, she is the dean of the class of 2025, teaches math and is the program director of Horizons at Westminster.
In the fall of 2021, 凯利 led her team to a semi-final appearance in the Class A New England tournament and was named CT Prep 教练 of the Year. 2022年，中国排名第一. 3 seeded Martlets took it one step further and made it to the Class A New England Tournament Finals and finished the season with a record of 16-3.
The Westminster Girls’ Soccer program has a strong track record of nurturing players who go on to participate at both the Division I and the Division III levels at schools such as Georgetown, University of Virginia, University of South Carolina, 戴维森学院, 康州大学, 普林斯顿大学, 达特茅斯, 福特汉姆, Connecticut College and Denison.
